We have an SOS out to quilters and sewers that may have an extra sewing machine that they can donate to fire survivors who have lost everything, their machines, stash, quilts, everything. Please let us know if you have something we can pick up to get to fire survivors from Mendocino and Lake County who need sewing equipment and supplies. You can call Christy Bengston @ 707 367-1261 or email her at [email protected] Thank you!
January 2, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
If you're not a member and are wondering about joining our group, please come and visit! If you have questions, email [email protected] and someone will respond to you. We are always open to receiving visitors and new members, and we would love to meet you. General meetings are held 6:30 p.m., the first Wednesday of the month at the Holy Trinity Church, 640 Orchard Avenue, Ukiah, California, and include speakers, professional quilters, and a trunk show or slide show. We have mini workshops, door prizes, block of the month, potluck, secret pals, and show-and-tell. We also produce a yearly quilt show in May, challenge projects, an extensive library, community service quilts which are regularly donated the Child Protective Services, and other groups in need. We create and donate hand and machine-made quilts to many organizations in the support of children and adults.
Each month we celebrate quilting together at Quilt-till-you-wilt, UFO sewing days and community sews. We also have a monthly newsletter with monthly information.
